Not all of these things are in the game bag. Most are stored in a game trunk. |
May's core value is Health and Fitness. I saw a game back pack on Pinterest and thought I would share my game bag. I keep my game bag in the trunk of my car. That way it is always handy when I go to den meetings. I try to keep some active games and some that are a little quieter in the bag. I am in the process of making up some game cards that I will put in the bag so I will always have a game ready when and if I need it.
It is a little fuller than normal because I am filling it for ideas at Roundtable. Some of the games are very active and some a little calmer. So here are some of the things that might be inside my bag. Rope for tying knots, pom poms, soft balls, marbles, Frisbees, balloons, straws, exercise cards, pencils, chopsticks, a flag, toilet paper, feathers, marshmallow shooters, marshmallows, (I don't keep the marshmallows in the game bag. They would dry out too soon. I have to remember to plan ahead for them.) swim noodles cut in about 2 foot lengths, paint, brushes, Musical chimes, science experiments, pipe cleaners, art sand, squirt guns, tape, and more! Yes I know that they are not all in the game bag. That is because I store most of them in this trunk. (I took a picture of the inside but it was too blurry to post.) There are some games that are the boy's favorites. In the picture there is a white disk. It is sold by Oriental Trading. They are called snowballs and look like Frisbees.

This is my Game Trunk that stays at home. |
My trunk is stuffed full of things to exchange with the game bag. It is really nice to have some things already on hand. It makes one less thing that you have to worry about when you are planning a den meeting.
