Wolf Achievement 2d--Learn about the fag of your state or territory and how to display it.
I have found some great coloring page sites that give a bit of the history of each of the fifty states. Crayola is one of those sites. There are the 50 state flags and on each page there is either the state plant and/or state animal. At this same site there are also flash cards of each state that include the outline of the state, the state capital, along with a couple of interesting facts about that state. Did you know that the state of Alabama has a statue in honor of the boll weevil insect? Well I didn't know that either until I read the interesting facts on the flash card of Alabama. Check it out here. http://www.crayola.com/free-coloring-pages/learning/social-studies/states-coloring-pages/
Here is another great site. USA-Printables has coloring pages for each of the 50 states. This one has pages for each of the states that include the state flag, state quarter, state postage stamp, and a couple of maps that gives some interesting demographic information about that state. http://www.usa-printables.com/50_States/
Apples 4 the teacher state map outline coloring pages make great mouse practice activities for toddlers, preschool, and elementary children. These maps make great learning tools for students learning about their state. Print out the map outline and mark major cities, rivers, mountains and famous landmarks. There are two sets of templates - maps with no information, other than a star that marks the capital and maps that show bordering states. These printable color sheets are a great resource for students completing a study of their state. http://www.apples4theteacher.com/coloring-pages/usa/state-outline/
